We have a School Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWEBS) program at Valley View. SWPBS is a process for creating safe and effective learning environments. SWPBS is a proactive approach to teach, monitor, and support appropriate school behavior for ALL students and is based on our Four “Bee” Rules.
BE RESPONSIBLE. BE RESPECTFUL. BE A WORKER. BE A FRIEND.
We place a strong emphasis on teaching and modeling our expected behaviors. Our school rules are being taught and practiced daily. At community meetings, the students meet our school’s Queen Bee and learned our school motto…“Be the best you can be…at VV!” This motto sets the tone for having children assume the role of displaying their best behavior and for being good decision-makers.
BZZZZzzzzzzz...... Do you hear the buzz of our Great Behavior Bees flying from the beehives? Each classroom provides a home for a bee hive covered with bees. Students earn bees for demonstrating the Four Bee Rules. When the hive is uncovered, a classwide celebration is revealed to reward students for their great behavior!
GOTCHAS..............We are also buzzing about students' great behavior in the classrooms, halls, cafeteria, playground and at specials! Students earn Gotcha cards to display on Great Behavior posters in their nieghborhoods and share at home.
When your child comes home from school with a Great Behavior Bee or Gotcha, please celebrate his or her behavior and discuss how he or she was responsible, respectful, a worker, or a friend! Thank you for your continued support of our SWPBS program. Feel free to click on the link below to read our SWPBS brochure for more information. With your encouragement at home and ours at school, we create a learning and loving environment that promotes success for our children.
