Dear Parents of 7th graders for 2016-17:
All students entering 7th grade will need to have the Tdap and Meningitis vaccines, as well as a dental report. This is required by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. If your child has not had these vaccines and/or a dental report, please see the attachments for the dental form and information about back to school immunization clinics. INCLEMENT WEATHER - CLOSINGS/DELAYS
With the winter season approaching, YSMS would like to remind parents to develop a supervision plan for their children in the event school should be closed, delayed or closed early due to inclement weather. The school’s Administrative Assistants will not be able to give these arrangements to the students on an early dismissal day. Be proactive by pre-planning and communicating today for future inclement weather supervision arrangement.
ATHLETICS/EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
All interscholastic student-athletes, band members, and designated extracurricular program members must provide proof of comparable insurance, prior to the student's participation.

At the end of every marking period, electronic Report Cards will be posted to the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus. Final Report Cards will be mailed home at the end of the school year.

Educational Trip Reminders
- Students may be excused from school attendance for up to five (5) school days per year to participate in educational tours or trips. These must be pre-approved two (2) weeks prior to the trip.
- Educational trips will not be approved during the first 10 days and last 10 days of the school year, or during standardized testing windows.
- Trip forms are available on the school district website or in any school building office.
