Policies and Procedures:

 

I.     Welcome to the Library. 

 

 

The library staff is willing to assist students in any way possible to find the information they need,  whether it is for an assignment or for personal interest.  In return, students are asked to exhibit courteous behavior, follow all school rules and policies, and to use the library and its materials responsibly.

 

II.     Library Citizenship.

 

 

The use of the library is a privilege.  In order for the library to run efficiently and to meet students' needs, every student should practice good library citizenship and follow the YSHS Library Behavioral Expectations Policy.  Infraction of library rules will result in the suspension of library privileges.

 

III.    Circulation of Materials and Fines.

 

 

Five books per subject area may be borrowed at one time.

 

Renewing is possible unless reserved by another student or assigned by a staff member.

 

Books from the general collection circulate for three weeks - overdues 10 cents per day.

 

Reference and Reserve books circulate overnight only - overdues 25 cents per day.

 

Magazines and Pamphlets circulate for one week - overdues 5 cents per day.

 

Lost or missing books - replacement cost.
